Memorial Hospital broke ground on Saturday, May 31, 2008, which was the first major step in the construction process.
The new modern hospital will have a total cost of approximately $25 million. Funding through$20 million in bank certified tax-exempt bonds during ’07 & ’08 is being secured. The project is dependent upon community contributions of $4 million.
To raise $4 million successfully, we will need everyone’s help. So, please join with us in… “Honoring the Past” by continuing the caring, progressive vision that our fore fathers and mothers began. In 1949, this community raised over ⅓ of the cost of the hospital.
By working together for our county and for our own local hospital, we will be a shining example of… “Ensuring the Future” for the next generation.
Memorial Hospital receives NO TAX money; we are a 501 (c) (3) NON-PROFIT organization. All contributions are tax deductible as prescribed by law.
Memorial Hospital has a huge economic impact on our county; it is the second largest employer with 250 employees and an annual payroll of $7,000,000. This $7 million has a ripple effect that is spent 5 to 7 times over within the county.
